Members - IPIA Code of Practice

Ethics – Member shall:

1. Confirm that none of the Directors or Persons with Significant Control appears on the Companies House Disqualified List
2. Display, demonstrate and represent their products and services fairly and avoid deceptive or misleading statements
3. Employ only personnel legally entitled to work in the UK, pay at least the National Minimum Wage/ National Living Wage as relevant

Insurances – Member shall, unless legally exempt, have the following appropriate insurance cover:

1. Employer’s liability
2. Public liability
3. Product liability
4. Any other insurance considered appropriate for the protection of the business

Personnel – Member shall:

1. Conduct induction training for new personnel
2. Identify and implement training to ensure personnel are competent to conduct their tasks
3. Identify and implement any training necessary for personnel working on behalf of the member

Customers and Suppliers – Member shall:

1. Abide by all contractual agreements with suppliers and customers
2. Respect any confidential information received from supplier or customer unless it becomes public knowledge through no fault of their own
3. Take responsibility for any sub-contractor or outsource operations
4. Ensure that any complaint will be investigated, dealt with in an effective and timely manner and, where appropriate, action taken to prevent recurrence
5. Ensure that if the complaint is between IPIA members and cannot be amicably resolved then the customer and the IPIA be informed in writing and if both parties agree the IPIA will appoint an Independent Arbitrator whose decision will be final and binding on both parties

Quality Assurance – Member shall have:

1. A system for identifying and meeting customer requirements, whether these are defined or implied
2. A system for ensuring that products meet customers requirements
3. Appropriate records in place and maintained to support a) & b)

IPIA Requirements

1. Members shall display the Certificate of Conformance to the Code of Practice at their premises and on their website
2. Member must abide by and comply with all the rulings made by the IPIA and the Council in the proper discharge of Association business
3. The IPIA Council is empowered to enforce this Code of Practice and to consider any complaints made against a Member and to act accordingly
